 Design Minimize

You may require a simple design, a complete rebrand or something in the middle.

Whichever approach is required the process remains the same:

The first draft design will involve a meeting to show you two or three concepts. The concepts will be based on the following:

  • the design brief - look and feel
  • how accessibility guidelines are met with the proposed designs
  • how usability is met with the proposed designs

Once a concept is chosen, it will be worked and a second draft is presented for appoval. It is usually at this stage that Trustees become involved. One meeting usually is enough at this stage to fine-tune the final design, but sometimes more meetings are required. We are very flexible with this as getting the job done right is paramount to us as well as our clients.

The final draft would be presented after any changes have been made following the important 2nd draft sign-off. Again, one meeting is all that is usually required for those final tweaks.

Good design is based on sound design principles:

  • A clean, clear and strong layout that enhances good navigational structure and assists in organising web content
  • A clear hierarchy of information
  • A solid foundation in colour theory, including both emotional and cultural connotations of colour

We recognise that design is one ingredient in the mix of a good site and has to work alongside accessibility, usability and technological constraints.
